Who am I?
I have lived in the NWT for most of my life, this place I call home has opened many doors for me. After high school, I attended the University of Calgary where I received a B.A. in Sociology. I have worked with children for over 10 years through various programming, including camps, after school care and as an Educational Assistant. Through all my experiences I realized I was truly passionate about teaching. I have worked with many amazing teachers and see the impact they have on their students in the most positive ways. I am very excited to be completing this journey and seeing what my future brings.

My Teaching Philosphy
I believe that to be a good teacher you have to have the drive and passion for inspiring young learners. I am an open-minded person and open to experiencing and working with all types of learners, using routines and expectations to help meet the learning goals. We need to engage and encourage students to be the best of themselves. Through positive connections, strong social-emotional skills, and the ability of the students to help guide their learning, I believe this will help them succeed to the best of their ability.
